Recall is a tutoring extension for leetcode.com. This policy explains exactly what it reads, what it stores, and what it never touches.

What Recall reads

Only from leetcode.com, and only for the account you are signed into:

Your public LeetCode username.
Your list of solved problems, with difficulty and topic tags.
Your submission history: the verdict (Accepted, Wrong Answer, Time Limit Exceeded and so on), the timestamp, the language, and for failed submissions the failing test case and error message.
The text of the problem currently open, so hints can refer to it.
Only if you turn on the code sharing setting, which is off by default: the source code of your failed and first-accepted submissions, and the code in your editor at the moment you ask for a hint.
The messages you type into the tutor.

What Recall never reads

Your LeetCode password. It is never seen, never stored, never transmitted.
Your LeetCode session cookies. They stay in your browser. Recall calls LeetCode from inside your own browser session, and the extension's server never receives them.
Any other website. Content scripts run only on https://leetcode.com/problems/*.
Your browsing history, bookmarks, downloads, or anything outside LeetCode.

Where it is stored

On a private server operated by the developer, in a database only the developer can access. Your rows are keyed to your account and are never combined with another user's.

Your sign-in token, your preferences and the sync progress are stored locally in your browser and are not readable by any website.

How hints are generated

When you ask for a hint, the relevant context — the problem, the related problems from your own history, your latest verdict, and your message — is sent to a large language model API (Google Gemini, or Anthropic) under a paid commercial agreement. Under those agreements your data is not used to train models. No other third party receives any of your data.

What is never done

Your data is never sold.
Your data is never transferred to a third party, except the language model API above, which is required to produce a hint.
Your data is never used to assess creditworthiness or for lending.
Your data is never used for advertising.
Your data is never used for any purpose other than tutoring you.

Your control

Code sharing is off by default. Recall works without it. Turning it off later erases every piece of source code already stored, immediately.
Delete everything. "Delete my data" in the extension popup removes every record Recall holds about you — history, skill model, and hint conversations — in one action. It cannot be undone.
Stop at any time. Uninstalling the extension stops all collection. Use the delete button first if you also want the stored data gone.

Children

Recall is not directed at children under 13 and is not knowingly used by them.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be published at this URL with an updated date.
